Job Description

CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care to patients requiring services. The CRNA will be responsible for pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthetic care, pain management, and responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiac life support techniques.

The CRNA is an advanced practice specialty within nursing, working within a comprehensive anesthesia care team. The position offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, where employees are dedicated to providing quality care across the Coastal Carolina region. The job is PRN with hours and days varying as per the needs of the department.

Job Qualifications

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor
Current license as Registered Nurse by North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or current compact state license
Current recognition as a CRNA by NCBON
Current AHA ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
Certification/Recertification by National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
Current privileges as a CRNA at CarolinaEast
Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this organization and state
Demonstrates competency in the responsibilities specified in this job description and privileges

Annual Estimated Salary or Payment

Salary Min: $92.80 per hour
Salary Max: $143.80 per hour
