Columbus Ophthalmology ASC Seeking Skilled Independent CRNA for PRN Cataract Cases
Job Description
Independent CRNA needed at a Columbus, Ohio Ophthalmology ASC providing anesthesia for cataract and corneal procedures. This is a straightforward, low-acuity assignment ideal for CRNAs comfortable with light sedation and efficient outpatient workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for cataract and corneal surgery patients
- Administer mild sedation (1–2 mg Versed; occasional 1 mL Fentanyl)
- Rare Diprivan use for retrobulbar blocks (performed by the ophthalmologist)
- Ensure safe monitoring and smooth patient recovery in an ASC setting
Compensation & Benefits
- $150 per hour
- 8-hour daily minimum
- Malpractice coverage provided
- 1099 PRN position
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio CRNA license
- NBCRNA certification
- Ability to work independently in an ophthalmology ASC
- Comfort with light sedation protocols
Schedule & Work Environment
- PRN scheduling
- No call
- No nights or weekends
- Outpatient ophthalmology surgery center
