Job Description

Sunrise Surgery Center, a single-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Orchard Park, NY, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a flexible PRN opportunity. This role involves conscious sedation anesthesia for ophthalmology procedures, including cataract and plastics, in a supportive and collaborative environment. The position offers excellent work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for outpatient surgical procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
• Perform thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations and monitor patients throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare staff to create comprehensive anesthesia plans.
• Accurately document all aspects of anesthesia care and provide post-operative guidance to patients and families.
• Stay current with anesthesia techniques and maintain compliance with healthcare protocols and regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

• 1099 independent contractor arrangement
• Malpractice insurance required (must provide own coverage)
• Highly flexible scheduling – a few days per month up to one day per week

Job Requirements

• Active and unrestricted New York State CRNA license
• Current CRNA certification from an accredited program
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Experience with conscious sedation in outpatient settings preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• PRN schedule: a few days per month up to one day per week
• No call, no weekends, no holidays
• Hours approximately 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
