Locum or PRN CRNA Opportunity – Sheridan Community Hospital

Job Description

Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking experienced and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a PRN locum opportunity starting in March. This role offers true independent practice in a collegial, low-volume hospital environment with no call, no non-voluntary weekends, and no required holiday coverage. The position is ideal for CRNAs seeking flexibility, strong compensation, and autonomy without the burdens of a large health system.

The facility is well-equipped with one operating room and one procedure bay, both outfitted with modern anesthesia technology. CRNAs will provide anesthesia services across a focused case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, gastrointestinal procedures, and light neuro cases. Utilization averages approximately 0.8, and there is no requirement to remain on-site once scheduled cases are completed, though some light administrative duties are expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care across general, orthopedic, GI, and light neuro cases
• Manage cases autonomously in a single-OR community hospital setting
• Participate in limited administrative responsibilities as needed
• Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia services with a focus on quality patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• $250 per hour
• Daily pay range: $1,700 – $3,000
• 7-hour daily guarantee
• Over-appointment incentive available
• 1m/3m occurrence-based malpractice coverage provided

Schedule & Work Environment

• PRN locum position
• 2–4 days per week
• Typical schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call
• No non-voluntary weekends
• No non-voluntary holiday coverage (6 days per year)

Job Requirements

• CRNA certification required
• Michigan license or ability to obtain
