MN PRN CRNA — MAC Sedation for Interventional Pain (No Call/Weekends) | $1,400–$1,800/day

Job Description

Outpatient surgical centers in the Twin Cities northwest corridor are seeking a PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide MAC sedation for interventional pain procedures. This daytime role features predictable hours, no general anesthesia, and a supportive, efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide MAC sedation for pain interventions (epidurals, RF ablations, kyphoplasty, spinal cord stimulator trials/implants, Intracept).
• Perform pre-op evaluation, develop an anesthetic plan, and monitor patients using ASA standards.
• Coordinate with pre/post-op nursing and procedural teams; complete thorough handoffs to recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and infection-control protocols.

Compensation & Terms

• $1,400–$1,800 per day (rate varies by location and schedule).
• 1099 PRN contract; option to explore W-2 employment for full-time roles.
• Daytime hours only; no call, no weekends, no holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CRNA program; NBCRNA certified.
• Active Minnesota CRNA and RN licenses (or eligibility).
• Current ACLS; strong independent practice skills and clinical judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication; comfortable in fast-paced ambulatory settings.

Schedule & Locations

• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (coverage days vary).
• Primary site: Metropolitan Surgical Center, Maple Grove (55369); additional coverage in Burnsville and Chaska as needed.
• Outpatient clinic/ASC environment; no general anesthesia—MAC sedation only.

Physical Demands

• Visual acuity for chart review/equipment; occasional bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Lift up to 25 lbs independently (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
• Potential exposure to blood/body fluids, medical gases, chemicals, and needles.
