Newark – CRNA for High-Pay Cataract Sedation Role
Job Description
Independent CRNA needed at a Newark, Ohio Ophthalmology ASC to provide sedation for cataract and corneal procedures. Low-acuity, efficient workflow with minimal medication needs and a predictable outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for cataract and corneal surgery patients
- Administer light sedation (PO Valium; occasional 1–2 mg Versed)
- Very rare Diprivan use for retrobulbar blocks performed by the ophthalmologist
- Monitor patients and ensure safe recovery in a dedicated ASC
Compensation & Benefits
- $175 per hour
- 8-hour daily minimum guarantee
- Malpractice coverage included
- 1099 PRN engagement
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio CRNA license
- NBCRNA certification
- Comfort working independently in an ophthalmology ASC
- Experience with mild sedation protocols
Schedule & Work Environment
- PRN, flexible scheduling
- No call
- No nights or weekends
- Outpatient ophthalmology surgical center
