Job Description

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey is seeking board-certified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for per diem opportunities. This W-2 position is based at a nationally recognized academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center, offering exposure to complex cases, advanced technology, and opportunities for teaching and mentorship through its partnership with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. CRNAs provide safe and effective anesthesia care across the full perioperative continuum, including pre-anesthetic evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthetic support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care throughout the perioperative continuum
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-anesthesia follow-up
• Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical and procedural cases
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, residents, and perioperative staff
• Participate in an academic, teaching-focused clinical environment

Compensation & Benefits

• $180/hour for weekday day shifts
• $190/hour for weekday nights, weekends, and holidays
• W-2 employment with RWJBarnabas Health
• Access to complex cases at a Level I Trauma Center

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Education Program (Master’s degree minimum)
• Board-certified CRNA
• Active CDS and DEA licenses

Schedule & Work Environment

• Per diem (PRN) schedule
• No first or second call requirements
• Academic medical center with teaching and mentorship opportunities
