The surgicenter operates 5 rooms (3 Urology and 2 GI) with anesthesia staffing ratios of 1:2 or 1:3.

Case Assignments:
Urology and GI cases only. No ortho, No spine.

Responsibilities:
– Pre-anesthesia assessment
– Obtain and/or verify patient consent
– Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
– Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
– Monitor the patient’s physiological condition
– Perform clinical interventions as needed

Requirements:
– Current license as a registered professional nurse
– Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
– Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
