PRN 1099 CRNA Opportunity at Southwestern Eye Center in Sierra Vista
Job Description
Southwestern Eye Center, part of American Vision Partners (AVP), is seeking a PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services at its ambulatory surgery center in Sierra Vista, Arizona. This is a 1099 per diem position offering a predictable weekday schedule with no nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call responsibilities.
The role operates on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays and focuses exclusively on ophthalmologic surgical cases. CRNAs will function as an integral member of the operating room team, delivering high-quality anesthesia care while supporting patients and collaborating closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and clinical leadership in a streamlined outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Develop and implement safe, individualized anesthetic care plans
- Administer peribulbar, retrobulbar, topical, local infiltration, and IV sedation techniques
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period
- Assist with clinical emergencies when needed
- Maintain accurate anesthesia documentation and records
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing and nurse anesthesia program
- Active Arizona RN and CRNA licensure
- NBCRNA certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Minimum of one year experience with peri-orbital anesthesia preferred
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care skills
