Job Description

This PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity offers dedicated 24-hour in-house obstetric anesthesia coverage at a facility located near Chicago, Illinois. This role is designed for experienced CRNAs who are comfortable providing continuous OB anesthesia coverage in an in-house setting and are seeking flexible locum or PRN work.

The position focuses exclusively on obstetric anesthesia services, allowing providers to work within a defined clinical scope without elective OR responsibilities. Providers will be expected to manage anesthesia care independently throughout the full 24-hour shift, responding to both routine and emergent OB cases as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 24-hour in-house obstetric anesthesia coverage
• Manage anesthesia care for labor and delivery patients
• Respond to urgent and emergent OB anesthesia needs
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence

Job Requirements

• Minimum of six years of CRNA experience required
• Active Illinois CRNA license required
• Significant obstetric anesthesia experience
• Must be local to the Chicago area
• New graduates are not accepted for this role

• PRN coverage based on facility needs
• No travel or lodging provided
