Position Overview

This PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist opportunity supports a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center serving the Kalamazoo, Michigan region. The role is designed for CRNAs who are comfortable practicing independently in a CRNA-only model and are seeking flexible per diem coverage with a guaranteed daily rate. This position focuses strictly on clinical delivery with no call, no inpatient responsibilities, and predictable case flow.

Practice Model & Clinical Scope

• CRNA-only practice with full independent anesthesia delivery
• Ambulatory surgery center environment
• No anesthesiologist medical direction
• Providers manage their own cases from pre-op through recovery

• ENT procedures
• General surgery cases
• Ophthalmology
• Podiatry
• Select plastic surgery cases
• Regional anesthesia and blocks required

Schedule & Coverage Structure

• PRN / per diem coverage

CRNA Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments

• Oversee post-anesthesia recovery and patient handoff
• Document anesthesia care in accordance with facility standards

Candidate Requirements

• Active CRNA certification required
• Ability to practice independently without supervision
• Comfort with regional anesthesia and block placement
• Experience in outpatient surgery center settings preferred
• Strong efficiency and clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment
