Somnia Anesthesia, a clinician-led and physician-owned anesthesia management group, is seeking PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to provide per diem coverage at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is well-suited for CRNAs looking to supplement existing work with consistent hospital-based cases in a structured care team environment.

This position is based in a full-service community hospital offering a balanced surgical case mix and predictable OR flow. The facility operates four operating rooms with staggered schedules, including three rooms running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and one extended room from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Annual case volume is approximately 2,600 cases, providing steady but manageable clinical exposure.

CRNAs practice within a care team model and are medically directed. Case types include general surgery, orthopedics, and urology, along with obstetric coverage averaging approximately 500 deliveries per year. There are no cardiac, neuro, trauma, head, or pediatric surgical cases, allowing for a focused and predictable practice environment. The hospital is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and includes a Level I NICU.

Call responsibilities are shared on an every-other basis, with the expectation to work the following day. Documentation is completed in the EPIC electronic medical record system. This role offers competitive per diem compensation with malpractice coverage provided, making it a streamlined option for CRNAs seeking PRN hospital work without long-term contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in a medically directed care team model
• Administer anesthesia for general, orthopedic, urology, and OB cases
• Participate in shared call coverage as scheduled

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative staff

Job Requirements
