PRN CRNA Opportunity at a High-Efficiency Ophthalmology ASC in Gainesville
Job Description
Eye SurgiCenter LLC is seeking a skilled PRN CRNA for a weekly Thursday ophthalmology schedule. This role is ideal for CRNAs who enjoy true independence, fast-paced environments, and the opportunity to expand or refine ophthalmic anesthesia expertise. Eye block experience is preferred, but training is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care for ophthalmologic procedures
- Perform thorough pre-operative assessments and develop anesthetic plans
- Oversee and collaborate with the Pre-Op Assessment RN
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout procedures
- Manage airways and utilize advanced airway techniques as necessary
- Document patient care accurately (paper charting)
- Participate in safety reviews, equipment evaluations, and policy updates
Compensation & Benefits
- $1,600 per day (1099), guaranteed 8 hours
- Occurrence malpractice coverage included ($1M/$3M)
Job Requirements
- Current Florida CRNA license
- NBCRNA certification
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current NPDB report
- Minimum 2 years of independent CRNA practice (no supervision)
- Eye block experience preferred; willing to train
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and airway management skills
Schedule & Work Environment
- Weekly Thursdays onsite
- Ophthalmology ASC setting
- Fast-paced caseload
- Independent practice, CRNA-only model
