Job Description

United Hospital Center, part of the WVU Medicine health system, is seeking PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join a well-established, hospital-employed anesthesia team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for CRNAs looking for flexible PRN or OPT scheduling within a stable, non-profit academic-affiliated health system.

The practice operates under a care team model and provides a broad “bread and butter” surgical case mix with no cardiac anesthesia, no neuro cases, and no sick pediatric patients. The hospital features a modern clinical environment with 17 operating rooms and 6 endoscopy suites, offering consistent case volume and optional endoscopy-only opportunities for interested providers.

OPT CRNAs are required to work a minimum of one 8-hour shift per month to maintain status, with two permitted “bye” months per 12-month period. This structure allows for meaningful flexibility while maintaining clinical engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care within a care team model
• Participate in a broad range of general surgical services
• Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists and perioperative staff
• Support both operating room and optional endoscopy services
