Job Description
Palo Pinto General Hospital is seeking a PRN CRNA to support coverage for busy days and staff vacations in Mineral Wells, Texas. This opportunity offers independent practice in a supportive team environment with a manageable case mix and strong work-life balance.
Located near Possum Kingdom Lake and just 40 minutes from Fort Worth, this position combines professional autonomy with access to outdoor recreation and a relaxed community lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care across a variety of bread-and-butter cases
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop care plans
- Administer and monitor anesthesia independently
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and patient safety
- Perform regional anesthesia, epidurals, and spinal techniques
- Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Compensation & Benefits
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Contract directly with hospital (not a large anesthesia group)
- Malpractice coverage provided at 200/600
- Flexible PRN scheduling

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Texas license required
- NBCRNA certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- OB anesthesia experience required
- Regional anesthesia skills preferred
- New graduates considered on a negotiable basis
Schedule & Work Environment
- PRN position
- Immediate start available
- First call negotiable with home call (30-minute response time)
- Usually day off after call
- No second call responsibilities
- Independent CRNA practice model
- Moderate case volume
- Team-oriented and supportive clinical environment
