PRN CRNA Position – Carle BroMenn Medical Center (Bloomington–Normal)

Job Description

Carle Health is seeking a PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesiology team at Carle BroMenn Medical Center. This role supports a high-volume hospital-based practice within a stable, autonomous anesthesia department and offers flexible PRN scheduling without call obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across operating rooms and procedural areas
• Participate in anesthetic care for inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
• Perform regional anesthesia and perioperative patient management as indicated
• Collaborate with surgeons, proceduralists, and perioperative staff
• Practice independently within an established CRNA team

Clinical Environment

• Autonomous CRNA practice model
• Team of 17+ CRNAs
• 6,000+ annual OR cases plus OB, Cardiac Cath, GI, and IR procedures
• 200-bed Magnet-designated hospital
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II NICU
• Recently renovated state-of-the-art facility

Case Mix

• General and orthopedic anesthesia
• Obstetric anesthesia
• Pediatric cases
• Neuroanesthesia
• Outpatient and inpatient surgical cases
• Occasional regional and acute pain services

Schedule & Work Model

• PRN position
• No first call
• No second call
• No post-call obligations
• Flexible PRN scheduling

Compensation & Benefits

• W-2 employment
• Compensation: $199.87 per hour
• Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage

Job Requirements

• Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia (Master’s or Doctorate)
• Active Illinois RN and CRNA licensure
• NBCRNA certification required
