PRN Independent CRNA – Ophthalmology ASC | $150/hr | Columbus
Job Description
An Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced and independent Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services for cataract and corneal procedures. This position offers predictable cases, a supportive environment, and an excellent work-life balance with no call or weekends required.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for ophthalmic procedures, including cataract and corneal surgeries.
- Provide sedation with minimal dosing (typically 1–2 mg Versed; occasional 1 mL Fentanyl).
- Support retrobulbar blocks performed by ophthalmologists (rare Diprivan use).
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all phases of anesthesia care.
Compensation & Benefits
- $150 per hour with 8-hour minimum guaranteed per day
- Medical malpractice insurance provided
- Independent 1099 contractor position
Job Requirements
- Current CRNA certification and active Ohio state license
- Ability to work independently in an ASC setting
- Strong knowledge of sedation techniques for ophthalmic procedures
Schedule & Work Environment
