Outpatient Orthopedics | South California Surgery Center – PRN Locum CRNA
Job Description
SCI Anesthesia is seeking an experienced Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an outpatient surgery center located in Southern California, approximately 80 miles from Santa Barbara. This flexible PRN opportunity offers competitive pay, no call, and a consistent 3-day workweek with all orthopedic cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for outpatient orthopedic procedures.
- Perform and manage peripheral nerve blocks independently.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop safe, individualized anesthesia plans.
- Monitor patient condition throughout surgical procedures and recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient case flow and patient safety.

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Current California CRNA license
- Proficient in orthopedic anesthesia and regional blocks
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Schedule & Work Environment
- Part-time PRN schedule – 3 days per week (flexible)
- Monday–Friday operation, 8–10 hour shifts
- No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
- Outpatient orthopedic surgery center
