PRN Autonomous CRNA Opportunity – Victor Valley Global Medical Center
Job Description
Victor Valley Global Medical Center is seeking experienced PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to support a small, independent anesthesia group covering vacation relief and staffing requests. This role is ideal for autonomous CRNAs who are comfortable practicing independently in a community hospital setting with a mix of call and day-shift responsibilities. Coverage needs are ongoing, with flexible scheduling based on OR volume and provider availability.
Clinical Practice Model
This is a fully independent CRNA practice with no medical direction. Providers manage their own cases across OR and OB services. The group staffs two call providers per day with an additional two to three daytime CRNAs depending on the surgical schedule. Weekend coverage is limited to first call only, and both OR and OB call are taken from home.
Case Mix & Clinical Scope
- Gynecologic surgery (primary case volume)
- General surgery
- Orthopedic procedures
- Inpatient GI cases
- Obstetric anesthesia with approximately 80 deliveries per month
Schedule & Call Structure
- PRN coverage for vacations and staffing needs
- Combination of OR day shifts and OB/OR call
- Two call providers daily
- Two to three day-shift CRNAs depending on OR schedule
- Only first call required on weekends
- OR and OB call taken from home
Compensation & Contract Details
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Daily compensation range: $1,200–$2,700 per day
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
- Malpractice insurance not provided
Procedural Expectations
- Spinal anesthesia and labor epidurals performed regularly
- Arterial line and central line placement performed as needed
- Regional blocks utilized depending on case requirements

- Experienced CRNA comfortable with independent practice
- Strong OB and general anesthesia skill set
- Comfortable with call responsibilities
- Flexible and reliable for PRN coverage needs
