PRN CRNA for Eye Surgery Cases in Torrance – MAC Only | $1,000–$1,200 Daily
Job Description
A multispecialty surgical group in Torrance, California is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide PRN anesthesia coverage for ophthalmology procedures. This role focuses entirely on monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases and operates within a CRNA-only practice environment.
All eye blocks are performed by the surgeon, allowing the CRNA to concentrate on sedation management and patient monitoring throughout each case. Providers should be comfortable working independently in an outpatient surgery center setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver monitored anesthesia care for ophthalmology procedures
- Perform pre-procedure anesthesia assessments and patient evaluations
- Administer sedation and monitor patient vital signs during surgery
- Maintain airway safety and respond to any patient status changes
- Provide recovery monitoring following procedures
- Coordinate with the surgical team to maintain efficient case flow
Compensation & Benefits
- Daily compensation between $1,000 and $1,200
- Independent contractor (1099) arrangement
- Consistent PRN coverage schedule
Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active California state license
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- Ability to work autonomously in an outpatient surgical setting
Schedule & Work Environment
- PRN anesthesia coverage
- Required availability every Tuesday
- Occasional Saturday coverage may be requested
- No call or overnight responsibilities
- CRNA-only anesthesia model
- Outpatient ophthalmology surgery center
- All eye blocks performed by the surgeon
