PRN CRNA Role in Houston – Independent Cardiovascular ASC Coverage (One Day per Week)
Job Description
Qoros Clear Lake Surgery Center in Houston, Texas is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a PRN, per diem role providing independent anesthesia care in a specialized ambulatory surgery center. This position offers a consistent one-day-per-week schedule in a CRNA-only model with no physician supervision, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced CRNAs seeking focused cardiovascular cases and predictable PRN work.
Practice Environment
This is a CRNA-only anesthesia model within a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center dedicated to minimally invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. The facility emphasizes efficiency, patient-centered care, and clinical autonomy. There is no MD supervision.
Case Mix & Anesthesia Scope
- Cardiovascular procedures
- Outpatient anesthesia exclusively
- Minimally invasive cardiac and vascular cases
Schedule & Workload
- PRN / per diem position
- One day per week coverage
- No call responsibilities
- No weekends required
Clinical Responsibilities
- Pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation
- Patient counseling regarding anesthetic options and risks
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Continuous physiologic monitoring during procedures
- Independent clinical decision-making and interventions
Compensation & Employment Structure
- Hourly compensation: $225 per hour
- Employment model: PRN
- CRNA-only practice with full clinical autonomy
Candidate Requirements
- Active Texas CRNA licensure required
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- NBCRNA certification required
- Comfort with independent anesthesia practice
- Experience in cardiovascular anesthesia preferred
